Department of Defense (DoD) Tuition Assistance (TA) programs are available only to actively serving members in all military branches, including National Guard and Reserve components. TA program rules and requirements vary by branch of service and can even differ between units within the same branch.
If you have questions about DoD TA, your first point of contact should be the Education Services Officer (ESO) at the education Office on your assigned military installation.
Your ESO can help you:
- Understand your TA benefits.
- Determine your eligibility.
- Obtain the required TA application forms.
- Answer specific questions about your military branch's TA process.
After working with your ESO, follow the Active Military Checklist provided by the Pat Tillman Veterans Center to walk you through the steps to use TA benefits at ASU.
ASU Student Business Services, processes TA vouchers from all branches. You can reach them by email at sponsorbilling@asu.edu, by phone at 1-855-278-5080, or by fax at 480-965-9242.
TA payments will be made directly to ASU from your branch of service. When using TA, a $75 third-party billing fee will be added to your student account for the semester.
