The federal government has set annual and lifetime limits on the Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant program. The annual limit is $4,000 a year. The cumulative maximum is $16,000 for an undergraduate student or a post-baccalaureate who is enrolled in the teacher credential program. There is an $8,000 cumulative maximum if you are a graduate student.
Please note: The TEACH Grant maximum award amounts are adjusted each year due to the
sequestration.
If you have not received your entire TEACH Grant eligibility for the fall/spring semesters ($4,000 per academic year) and based on your enrolled credit hours for the summer semester, you may receive some or all of your remaining TEACH Grant eligibility.
