How do Barrett students enroll in honors thesis credits?

1. Complete a Barrett thesis workshop
   Required before starting the thesis process.
2. Secure a faculty thesis director
   Must be an ASU faculty member.
3. Request a course override
   Request an override for 492 (then 493 the next semester) in your thesis director’s academic unit (e.g., ENG 492, BIO 492).
4. Check your credit load
   If thesis credits exceed your term limit, request a credit overload through your major advisor.
5. Register during your enrollment window
   Once the override is approved, and overload granted if applicable, enroll in the course.

Note: All steps must be completed before the course add deadline.
