« Go Back
Information

The honors thesis is a two-semester, faculty-mentored project that allows you to explore a topic in-depth and contribute original work to your field.

What to expect:

  • Thesis credits: up to 6 credits through the 492/493 course sequence in your thesis director’s department
  • Prospectus: formal project proposal submitted before starting
  • Defense: public presentation followed by committee and audience Q&A
  • Timeline: typically completed in junior or senior year

To get started, complete a thesis preparation workshop and meet with your Barrett Honors Advisor.
