The honors thesis is a two-semester, faculty-mentored project that allows you to explore a topic in-depth and contribute original work to your field.
What to expect:
- Thesis credits: up to 6 credits through the 492/493 course sequence in your thesis director’s department
- Prospectus: formal project proposal submitted before starting
- Defense: public presentation followed by committee and audience Q&A
- Timeline: typically completed in junior or senior year
