Each year, the Cronkite School awards to its students more than $100,000 in scholarships in amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000.
To apply for a Cronkite School scholarship, complete the online application form, available after
December 15. The application deadline is
February 7 for awards for the next academic year. The application requires an essay of no more than 250 words.
Applicants will receive an email confirmation by
February 15 that their completed application has been received. Those who are awarded scholarships will be notified via letter by the end of the spring semester. The letter will be sent to the recipient’s address on file with ASU. Unless noted otherwise, most scholarships are not automatically renewed. You will need to reapply annually.
Scholarship eligibility requirements:
- you must be a Cronkite School student
- you must have completed at least 12 credit hours of academic coursework at ASU
- complete the FAFSA by ASU's priority date of January 15 each year to maximize the amount of aid you receive.
If you are an incoming freshman at the Cronkite School, you
do not need to complete the online application to be eligible for a Cronkite scholarship. You will be considered for both merit-based aid and Cronkite scholarships based on your ASU admission application. However, Cronkite has only a limited number of scholarships available for freshmen.
